My days are filled with painting Day of the Dead family portraits to prepare for an upcoming Day of the Dead festival in October.
I thought I’d share with you the progress from some of the paintings.
Here’s the first step – COVER with lots of acrylic paint, metallic, and INK! I love using ink to drip onto the canvas.
Then I use gesso to get the basic shapes of the family.
Then I add Aleena’s glue to create raised areas on the canvas. I will paint over this later. 
After several layers of paint and some fun creating I end up with this!
