Okay, roll call…
Self-proclaimed art hoarders, raise your hands.
I’ll go first. Hi, I’m Heidi, and I have a lot of art supplies. Like… a shed-full.

We recently moved into a beautiful old farmhouse, and I’m finally giving y’all the tour of my new art studio. (And if you missed my last studio setup, don’t worry—I’ve got a link to that video at the bottom so you can compare and tell me which vibe you’re loving more.)

Spoiler alert: this one feels like a cozy treehouse.

Let’s go.

Heidi's puppy, Piper

First, Meet Piper

Before you even walk in, you’re likely to be greeted by our unofficial tour guide—Piper, our pup. She takes her job very seriously… sometimes too seriously.

The First Thing You’ll See

Right when you walk into the studio, there’s a painting that holds my heart. I didn’t create it—it was a gift during my heart surgery season. It’s a reminder of resilience, healing, and how art can say things words can’t.

Right next to it? A bathroom. Game-changer. If you’ve ever been deep in a glittery, paint-covered mess and realized you had to run to the other side of the house—you get it.

My Cozy Corners

I’m always cold, so yes—I have a fireplace in my studio. And yes—I still jump on my mini trampoline in here to shake off the stuck energy. (Yes, the trampoline made the move too. Priorities.)

My desk setup is still a work in progress. The original one was too tall, so now I’ve got a new one that’s perfect for filming without looking like I’m trying to stretch into the camera frame. You’ll also spot some of my own art as a backdrop—like the painting I did for me and Bobby.

Designing this space felt a little funny—artist brain doesn’t always come with designer brain. But I’m making it mine.

Heidi's favorite corner in her studio; her chair where she can prop up her feet and look out the windows at the trees

All the Light, All the Windows

The real MVP? These windows. They go low to the ground and wrap around the studio, making it feel like I’m nestled in a treehouse. I sip my coffee, kick my feet up, and just stare at the trees. It’s my favorite corner in the whole house.

And honestly? I feel like God designed this space just for me. It’s wild—because the previous owner? She was an artist too. This room has history.

Organized Chaos (with a Side of Glitter)

Listen, I may be an art hoarder, but I’m an organized one.

We brought over the shelves from the old place, and Pixie helped me sort everything—paints, glitter, brushes, projects. One shelf is basically my fun mini-library with stickers, journals, and books that make me laugh and dream.

Also, yes—I store extra brushes and paints in the bathroom while I wait on the tub to get fixed. Creative storage, right?

My Message for You

If you’re dreaming of a studio space like this someday, I want you to know—I used to paint at the kitchen table. In between homework help and dinner dishes.

So don’t let comparison steal your creativity.
Take care of the space you have right now. Paint at the table. Set up in the garage. Create in the corner of the guest room. Whatever you’ve got—it’s sacred.

The more you honor it, the more space you’ll find. Physically and spiritually.
