Y’all know I love candy corn and Halloween is quickly approaching! To get ready for one of my favorite holidays I’m going to teach you how to paint this sweet Candy Corn Halloween Porch Sign! Gather Your Supplies
You’ll need a blank porch sign. I used a 6 ft piece of white wood. You can get them from your local Lowe’s or Home Depot, they’ll even do a courtesy cut for you if you need it! Grab some acrylic craft paint in orange, yellow, white and black. I use DecoArt Americana, it’s my favorite! You’ll also need some stencil brushes, a chip brush and of course the Halloween Porch Sign stencils.
Paint The Candy Corn Background on Your Porch Sign
Start by painting your porch sign white then you’ll add alternating stripes of yellow and orange making sure to leave a white stripe in between. Don’t worry about taping your lines, the orange & yellow can just blur together. To reduce drying time and get to stenciling quick use a blow dryer to quickly dry your background.
Stencil Your Words
This Halloween Porch Sign Stencil from Essential Stencils is perfect! Just place your stencil to make sure you like the placement. The great part about these stencils is they have bats, a pumpkin and a cat! Once they are placed grab some black paint and your stencil brush. Make sure you offload first and then stencil the porch sign!
