Ah, who doesn’t love Christmas traditions? I sure do!! My holiday season is jam-packed with traditions from baking holiday cookies with my daughter to snuggling on the couch as a family watching our favorite Christmas movies. It’s funny to see how while some things have changed throughout the years, others remain very much the same.
Today, I thought I’d share one of my all-time favorite Christmas traditions with you. Even better, I’m giving you the opportunity to incorporate this one into your family, absolutely free! Trust me, you’re about to make some of your favorite Christmas memories!
Teach Loved Ones How to Paint {One of My Favorite Christmas Traditions!}
Well, I kind of gave it away in the title, but here it is. One of my favorite things to do around the holidays is to paint with loved ones! Here’s why I think it will quickly become one of your favorite traditions too!
1. Fun Way to Bond
First of all, painting is just plain fun. There’s something incredibly relaxing about swirling your brush in paint and seeing a vision come to life. For me, even shopping for painting supplies feels therapeutic. 😉
It’s also great to have a bonding activity with friends or family that doesn’t involve food. It sometimes seems like I am doing nothing but eating or baking for the entire month of December!
2. Create DIY Holiday Decor
Even better, you can help those you love create some awesome painted pieces to display around their home. From vintage-looking truck and tree signs to pieces like this adorable double snowman painting (more on this below!), EVERYONE is always looking for cute Christmas decor!
That makes grabbing a bunch of friends for a paint party not only fun, but incredibly practical too.
3. Fun for Any Skill or Age Level
I’ve taught 1000’s of paint parties over the years – both online and in person. And one of my favorite things about painting is that art truly is for everyone. Whether you want to start Christmas traditions of painting with toddlers or your own mother, it’s fun and special for everyone!
4. Spread the Joy of the Season
Y’all know I’m all about the reason for the season – God’s mercy and kindness! What better way to spread that Christmas cheer than gathering people you love and giving them the gift of a good time and a new skill?
5. Open the Door to a New Possible Career
Of course, what makes this particular holiday tradition extra special is that you are giving yourself a gift as well – the ability to start making money by teaching friends and family art!
In fact, I’ve taught hundreds of women how to use their love of painting to create real, thriving careers inside of Paint Party Headquarters. Whether you want to teach in person, or online, there’s never been a better time to get started than right now!
