My favorite fall art projects: 15 seasonal ideas
In this post, I’m covering my very favorite fall art ideas, from spooky (but cute!) ghosts to fall leaves to pumpkins galore!
This autumn, give your paint party biz a boost with these fun crowd-pleasing designs. They are all tried and true favorites!
1. Pumpkin Canvas
Calling all spooky fans! This pumpkin stack and raven combination makes one spectacular fall design.
I love this project for Halloween because it’s seasonal without being scary, which is great for easily spooked kids.
Plus, it’s not traditionally Halloween-y, so you can display it for an understated appeal.
2. Fall Art Door Hanger
This fall door hanger is cheery and welcoming, with bright blue pumpkins and a subtle sunflower addition.
I love the “snuggle” sign nestled into the pumpkin patch post. It’s so cute and cozy for autumn! Doesn’t it just make you want to snuggle up under a fuzzy blanket with a hot cup of tea?
3. Skeleton Painting
This Dia de los Muertos design is beautiful with this ultra colorful display.
Feel free to get creative with your favorite colors in this design. Personally, I love the way blue and orange pop against each other. But make it your own!
4. Candy Corn Porch Leaner
Candy corn – the classic Halloween candy that will divide a room!
Whether you love or hate this sweet treat, you can’t deny that the color combination is awesome!
Even better, this simple striped design is sooo easy to create. The stenciled black “Halloween” lettering makes the design look polished and professional.
My favorite lettering stencils come from Essential Stencils because they’re easy to use and cost-effective. Don’t forget to use coupon code TEXASHEIDI at checkout for an awesome discount!
5. Fall Art Magnolia Bowl with Stencils
I love painted designs like this magnolia bowl because it’s so functional!
It’s beautiful on its own, with bright autumn leaves painted with Essential Stencils.
If you want to take it up a notch, you can add seasonal decor to the bowl! Include orange twinkly lights, mini pumpkins, Halloween candy, or whatever your heart desires.
6. Hello Pumpkin Porch Sign
My “hello pumpkin” porch sign is totally understated with a black and white color palette, working with anyone’s tastes and design aesthetics.
Essential Stencils lettering and floral pumpkin make this sign simple to make for all skill levels. And the results are REALLY pretty!
7. Black Cat Tracer Project
If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly fall art project, look no further than this black cat tracer project.
I love tracer projects because they give crisp lines without the hassle.
This city cat is darn cute, sitting above the city skyline on a crescent moon.
And if you want to display this project year-round, you totally can with just a few tweaks! Remove the pumpkins and witch’s hat, and you have a seasonless design.
8. Easy Pumpkin Fall Art
Sometimes, a classic is best. And I can’t think of something more quintessentially fall than pumpkins!
This easy pumpkin design can be customized with the colors of your choosing and adorned with simple leaves and vines for a whimsical delight.
This is a great option for adults and kids alike and almost always sells out!
9. Pumpkin Patch Wood Sign
Welcome to the pumpkin patch!
This sweet design offers apple cider, hayrides, corn mazes, and more. In other words, everything you’d need for the perfect autumn celebration.
The pickup truck decal may look intimidating, but don’t be fooled – it’s incredibly easy when using a high-quality stencil.
10. Sunflower Porch Leaner
Fellow sunflower lovers, this one is for you.
Celebrate fall time with this sunshiney design, complete with hand-painted sunflowers and stencil lettering.
For anyone sad to leave the warm summer days behind them, I recommend you add this bright and sunny leaner to your porch for a gentle transition.
11. Seasonal Door Hanger
What’s better than a seasonal door hanger? A customizable seasonal door hanger!
This design has swappable fall and winter add-ons for two signs in one; it’s a great way to get excited for the change in seasons, swapping your decor on the eve of the winter solstice.
Plus, this lettering is so easy to do that you can freehand it without a problem!
This is one of my most popular designs and sells out almost every paint party!
12. Trick or Treat Fall Art Painting
Greet hoards of trick-or-treaters this Halloween with this seasonal beauty.
I love the way the orange pumpkin and candy corn sign pops against the rich purple background. The color combination is classic Halloween without any of the spook.
13. Sunflower Porch Leaner
Say hello to fall the Southern way with this “happy fall y’all” porch leaner.
Blown-out yellow sunflowers adorn this simple black-and-white sign for a super chic design. Stenciled lettering from Essential Stencils pulls it all together.
14. Pumpkin Door Hanger
This fall art hanger has it all! Glitzy pumpkins, a witch stocking background, and a black cat to boot.
The banner form makes it super unique and celebratory.
15. Easy DIY Ghosts Fall Art
These ghosts are far from scary. In fact, they look pretty dang friendly!
Sweet eyelashes and fabric bow ties make these ghouls a welcome addition to anyone’s front door.
