Let’s chat about something vital to your business: the profit you can make from each and every single paint party! If that topic makes you cringe, don’t. It’s between you and God and no one else!

I was just thinking about this topic a lot this weekend while I was teaching a paint party. There were 9 people who paid $45 per person, then I sold two additional kits for another $45 each. So $495 before expenses.

Even after expenses, even if I’m overbuying, I’m easily clearing $300 for 2 hours of work. That’s $150 per hour! That’s an amazing day. And these numbers can easily be reached.

It’s truly awesome what we get to do! It’s really great money but more importantly, it’s so much fun.

However, I’ve noticed a lot of people, especially when they are first starting out, feel nervous about charging money, or even feel guilty about making a profit. That’s wrong, y’all!! I’m here to break the starving artist stereotype! Building a creative business doesn’t mean you have to be poor.

I LOVE THIS so much! It’s not between me and you or you and others – it’s between you and God. Don’t compare yourself and where you are at to other people, just continue on your own journey and path!

This quote makes me want to do better, and work for a higher purpose. I can focus on what I want to build and create, not what the world is demanding. If you wake up and make this about you and God not about what others are saying or doing – think of what amazing things could happen!

I am a huge believer in this and in also being very mindful of who I share my dreams with. Look for those who encourage your business mindset, not discourage it!
