Stop Getting Overwhelmed by Marketing

If you’ve ever opened Instagram or TikTok looking for marketing advice and ended up more confused than when you started; you are not alone.

One person says you need to post three times a day. Another says reels are dead. Someone else is swearing by Pinterest.

It’s loud out there, and honestly? It’s a lot. But here’s the truth nobody is telling you: you don’t have to do all of it.

Choose One Platform

Marketing your creative business is supposed to help you, not stress you out.

We try to follow every trend and jump on every platform at once. As a result, we end up doing nothing to our benefit. And end up burning ourselves out in the process. That’s not a marketing problem, that’s an overload problem. And the fix is simpler than you think.

The secret is to pick ONE thing. And actually do it.

Just one platform. One type of post. And one audience you’re talking to.

When you stop trying to be everywhere, something amazing happens. You actually start showing up somewhere. And showing up consistently in one place is worth so much more than showing up everywhere once and disappearing.

Think about what feels the most natural to you.

Do you love taking pretty photos of your kits? Instagram might be your spot. Do you like talking and showing your personality? TikTok or Facebook Reels could be a great fit. Are you a writer who loves telling stories? A simple email newsletter might be your best friend.

There is no wrong answer here. The best platform is the one you’ll actually use.

Post What You Want to See

Once you pick your one thing, keep it simple.

Share what’s in your kit. Show someone painting. Tell a little story about why you started. Post a photo of a happy customer.

When marketing your creative business you don’t need fancy equipment or a film crew, you need your phone, good lighting, and something real to say.

People connect with people, not perfection.

Marketing doesn’t have to feel like a second job. It can feel like sharing something you love with people who are going to love it too.

Start small. Stay consistent. And give yourself permission to figure it out as you go.
