I did it—I packed up my life in Texas and moved to Nashville, and it’s already been one wild, wonderful adventure! If you’ve ever felt the pull to start fresh somewhere new but also battled those “What the heck am I doing?!” moments, you are not alone. Change is big. Change is scary. But oh my goodness, change is also so worth it.
So, let’s talk about this move, the best parts of Nashville so far, what I miss about Texas, and (most importantly) what I’ve learned about stepping into something new with confidence.

My Favorite Part of My New Home? The Greenhouse!
I have always dreamed of having a greenhouse, and now, it’s happening! Every time I walk in, I feel like I’ve stepped into my own little oasis of creativity and peace. Being surrounded by greenery is grounding, a little pocket of calm in the midst of change.

Exploring Nashville: Give Me All the Coffee Shops
If you know me, you know I’m all about a cozy coffee shop, and Nashville does not disappoint! Every place I visit has its own personality—some are artsy and eclectic, others are warm and rustic, and every single one has incredible coffee. Exploring these spots has been the perfect way to get to know the city and meet new people.

The Best Part? The Adventure, the Trees, and the Anticipation of Fall!
Oh my gosh, I cannot get over the TREES. Growing up in Texas, I wasn’t exactly used to a full-blown fall season. But here? The trees are everywhere, and I can already imagine how stunning they’ll look when the leaves start changing. I can’t wait to experience that crisp autumn air and swoon over every red and orange tree I see. Watching the seasons shift is a reminder that life is always moving forward, and so are we.

A Lesson from Gary the Snail
On a recent walk, I saw a little snail crossing a giant road. He was almost there, but it still looked like he had a long way to go. Then I realized—if he looked back, he’d see how far he’d already come.
I don’t know much about Gary the Snail’s life (yes, I named him), but I do know this: He took a risk, one tiny step at a time. In business and life, we often feel stuck, but looking back shows our progress.
Like Gary, sometimes we crave change but let fear hold us back. The key? Take that first step—confidence builds as you go.

Feeling Nervous About a Big Change? Here’s My Advice
Starting over is hard. But if you’re standing on the edge of something new, wondering if you should take the leap, here’s what I want you to do:
- Get crystal clear on what you want. What do you want your world to look like? Write it down. Dream big.
- Make an action plan. Break it down into steps. Even the tiniest step forward counts.
- Remind yourself: Fear is normal. But don’t let it make decisions for you. Fear means you’re doing something big. Something brave.

This move has taught me that the best things often lie just beyond uncertainty. So if you’re thinking about taking a big step toward something new—whether it’s moving, starting a business, or finally chasing that dream—do it. Your future self will thank you.
