The Fall Ball Paint and Business Bootcamp is now is full swing! We are painting Witches be Crazy & Autumn Blue, two of my favorite paintings. If you haven’t joined yet you can join HERE for just $10.00!!! You will not only learn two paintings but also how you can teach other people, plus you get a bonus painting design! The best way to get ready for the Fall Ball and your paint parties is to pre-trace your canvas.
Today I’m going to show you how to pre-trace your canvas for Witches be Crazy. It’s so simple and will you and help your painters! Remember, you don’t have to trace the canvas first, but part of the Fall Ball Paint and Business Bootcamp is teaching you how you too can teach paint parties!
Gather Your Tracing Supplies and Pre-Trace Your Canvas
Tracing a canvas is so easy. All you need is your canvas, your tracer, graphite or carbon paper, a pen/pencil and some tape. You’ll want to print your tracer and tape it together first. Then put your carbon/graphite paper on your canvas and place your tracer on top. Last, trace the painting using a pen or pencil! Don’t forget to lift up your graphite paper to make sure it’s tracing on to your canvas.
Why is Pre-Tracing Your Canvases Important for Paint Parties?
Paint parties are not a fine art lesson, they are FUN art! Your painters are there to relax have a great time. Free-handing a painting for someone who may be painting for the first time or just starting to learn can be a little stressful. Providing a pre-traced canvas will put them at ease. Remember, you are there to provide a service, there to having something exciting to take home. A lot of time it’s not even really about the painting, it’s about the time spent together with friends just hanging out, creating and having some fun!
Pre-Tracing All Those Canvases Seems Like a Lot of Work!
I know it seems crazy to trace all those canvases. But, I want you to think about what those people are paying you. Let’s do the math real quick, with just 10 painters each paying $35, that’s $350.00!! So, I just sit down and watch a movie or listen to a pod cast while trace canvases. There are much harder ways to make money. My husband used to pave roads for the county in Texas, where it is HOT often. He lost sooo much weight just because of the heat and the work. So, tracing canvases for $350.00, not a big deal at all!!
