Did you join us at Paint Party Business Live this year? If so, you and I probably share the same highlight from our time together: the painted prom! Didn’t get to join this time? You’ll be absolutely amazed by the creativity of these artists.
I know you aren’t supposed to have favorites, but I now have a favorite prom: the painted prom we had at this year’s Paint Party Business Live.
But first, let me back up. If you aren’t aware of what PPBL is, it’s an in-person-only event where members of Paint Party Headquarters gather together and have a blast while also learning. After spending so much time together virtually, it’s always a yearly highlight to get some facetime with the members!
If you know anything about me, it’s that I am all about learning but also having FUN. And as I was brainstorming how I could up the fun-factor for attendees at Paint Party Business Live this year, I came up with the best idea…a painted prom!
What is a painted prom?
I always thought it would be so fun to have an opportunity for us artists to get creative and try to show off our talent on a new medium. I was inspired by a story I saw online about a girl who handpainted her prom dress. It was stunning!
I thought, what better group to have an entire prom featuring handpainted outfits than my Paint Party Business Live friends? And I was right! This group blew me away with their creativity and style!
Paint Party Business Live’s Prom Party
Since everyone was putting so much work into their outfits, we wanted to make sure there was an easy way to show it off and for everyone to admire the clothing.
What better way than a runway?!
Yes, we set up our own runway, and everyone got to walk down it. I absolutely LOVED it.
Everyone got to participate in a Zoolander-style catwalk with music playing. There are SO many beautiful dresses that I couldn’t stop looking! And I was not the only one!!!
And what’s a prom without some awesome music? Britney Spears came to perform! Well..okay, it was an impersonator, but she was really good!
We actually asked for the family-friendly version of Britney Spears to come perform…they may have missed that bit. But she was still totally amazing!! I LOVE Britney and I couldn’t stop smiling watching her perform!
The Best Painted Prom Outfits
Okay, I can’t really pick the best outfits because they were ALL so good. But I do have some pictures to share that I’ve sprinkled throughout this entire post. For those who weren’t there, I wanted to brag about this creative group and all the gorgeous handpainted gowns they designed.
This whole event was of those moments we’ve got to recreate! In fact, we loved it so much we are bringing it back next year!
I can’t stop looking at this dress with all the blue – she’s a beautiful blue butterfly!
